I Love You, More

So, last time I wrote I was still really sad about moving. I'm starting to get a little more excited. I've learned a couple of my friends are thinking about moving too. I won't mention names, but one of them will only be about 6 hours away...think, long weekends! Also, Ben and Lindsay sold their condo, and will be moving to Denver around the same time Mike and I move to OKC.

Christmas was nice. Mike and I actually tore into our presents on Christmas eve... [it was his idea, promise] we even tore into
Kitty, Keton, and Bailey's presents that night as well. Christmas day...yeah, we didn't have much to do. I enjoyed spending Christmas, just the two of us, as our first Christmas being married. It was also nice to spend it in San Diego, as it is such a different Christmas than both Mike and I are used to...really native San Diegans should experience a white Christmas once in their lives...

New Years Eve was nice too, we rang in the New Year with Ben and Lindsay for the second year in a row.

How we met Ben and Lindasy: Ben and Mike used to work together, we started going to Mission Gathering Christian Church where Ben led the best worship I've experienced in my life. Although we are not attending Mission Gathering anymore, from the experience I've gained a better understanding of the part that God plays in our lives, and was able to open my eyes and experience Christ.

Back to New Years, we spent our night with Ben, Lindsay, Artie and Jen. Cooked out and had a great time...

New Year Resolutions, yeah I have a few of them...

1) Be more "wifely"...which means try to clean more, make sure there is coffee in the morning, take Bailey down without complaining, and most importantly, LEARN HOW TO COOK. It's a sad, sad day, when you tell your husband, "I want to make breakfast burritos", and he says, "that's a big task". Then he says, why don't I cook something...uhhh, NO!

2) Make the most of my workouts...I've gotten kinda lazy in the gym. I start breathing hard and stop. The result - a small belly, well, I'd like to call it small. No more, I'm not leaving the gym until I break a sweat...AND breath hard!

Mike and I both enjoyed a three and a half day weekend...Mike, Artie and Jen are watching football right now. This is what I'm going to miss...the good friends and good times we spend together.

Last time I wrote, I was looking forward to going home...well, now...less than 2 months later, I will be moving home.
The opportunity came up and was too perfect to pass up, yes, it is a little sooner than expected, but the move is something that has been on our minds for a while now.
Right now...I don't think it's hit me, at times I'm really excited...to see my family more, to be able to afford a home, to see my old friends, and just be back in the place that I have always thought of as home...but a part of me is really sad. I remember moving out to CA like it was yesterday, I remember the drive out with my dad, I remember taking my dad to the airport and feeling more alone than I've ever felt before, and now, I have a life, I have friends, I have unforgettable memories, and I am so sad to leave my life here.
I know that moving is definitely a positive, and I'm fairly certain that once I'm home, things will be alright. So I guess it's fair to say...at this point I still have very mixed feelings, deep down I know this is very good, but on the surface I feel sorta bad.

So...I'm going to try to do this more often. This weekend was quite busy for me. Mike had his last regular season softball game Friday night, although he wasn't able to play he went anyway. I stayed home with Preston and Bailey. Watched TV on the couch all night long...then the fun started. After not eating most of the week, Saturday came much too early. I didn't feel as in shape as I could have been, but oh well. The dance team that I am on shoots a calandar every year, this year we were shooting at the beach. Trust me it isn't as glamorous as you would think. Between freezing my butt off and being pummeled by waves, I think a few pictures actually came out rather nice. After about an hour of being out of the water I could finally feel my fingertips. Oh, and I'm still digging sand out of my ears. Sunday, I took a 2 hour drive north to downtown LA to visit my dad, who had been in town all week for training. We talked, had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen, and talked more. It was nice to see him, and I'm looking forward to my trip home in December to see the rest of my family and hopefully some of my friends. So, now it's Monday, I'm at work... so I'd better get back to it. More Later, I Promise :)

One reason "Why I'm a Republican"
I'm sorry, I'm sorry...but I had to use it, thanks Ashley.

It's Saturday, Mike and I got up early and headed to Costco for food for tonight. We are having Megan, Jason, Artie, Jenn, and maybe Aaron and Jaime over for dinner. We've told them to bring Peety and Preston over to keep Bailey company, dogs...

Mike is cooking his specialty BBQ ribs and chicken. We picked up a Caesar salad at Costco too. Oh...and you can't forget the beer.

I'm trying not to eat today until dinner. I was really, really bad last night. Mike and ate at McDonalds. I had a Quarter Pounder and fries. I haven't had a Quarter Pounder in at least a year...it was soooo good. I think I had a dream about it last night, and I was still thinking about it this morning...ok, that is weird.

So, we have finished cleaning the house for our company tonight...I'm excited, and ready to eat!

I'm back...after much thought, I've decided to dance one more year. Yes, I'm a San Diego Gulls Girl once again...after my first practice last night, I can say, "it is good to be back" I had a lot of fun, the new girls seem nice, and it's great to see some of my old friends again.

I was home sick from work today. I think I had a bad reaction to the medication I'm on. I had missed a dose and doubled up last night. Woke up around 4AM...I won't go into detail, but needless to say, I stayed in bed all day long. Mike brought Chicken Noodle soup home (I'm very spoiled). I'm going to take it easy for the rest of the night...I aboslutely can't miss work tomorrow.
