So, last time I wrote I was still really sad about moving. I'm starting to get a little more excited. I've learned a couple of my friends are thinking about moving too. I won't mention names, but one of them will only be about 6 hours away...think, long weekends! Also, Ben and Lindsay sold their condo, and will be moving to Denver around the same time Mike and I move to OKC.
Christmas was nice. Mike and I actually tore into our presents on Christmas eve... [it was his idea, promise] we even tore into
Kitty, Keton, and Bailey's presents that night as well. Christmas day...yeah, we didn't have much to do. I enjoyed spending Christmas, just the two of us, as our first Christmas being married. It was also nice to spend it in San Diego, as it is such a different Christmas than both Mike and I are used to...really native San Diegans should experience a white Christmas once in their lives...
New Years Eve was nice too, we rang in the New Year with Ben and Lindsay for the second year in a row.
How we met Ben and Lindasy: Ben and Mike used to work together, we started going to Mission Gathering Christian Church where Ben led the best worship I've experienced in my life. Although we are not attending Mission Gathering anymore, from the experience I've gained a better understanding of the part that God plays in our lives, and was able to open my eyes and experience Christ.
Back to New Years, we spent our night with Ben, Lindsay, Artie and Jen. Cooked out and had a great time...
New Year Resolutions, yeah I have a few of them...
1) Be more "wifely"...which means try to clean more, make sure there is coffee in the morning, take Bailey down without complaining, and most importantly, LEARN HOW TO COOK. It's a sad, sad day, when you tell your husband, "I want to make breakfast burritos", and he says, "that's a big task". Then he says, why don't I cook something...uhhh, NO!
2) Make the most of my workouts...I've gotten kinda lazy in the gym. I start breathing hard and stop. The result - a small belly, well, I'd like to call it small. No more, I'm not leaving the gym until I break a sweat...AND breath hard!
Mike and I both enjoyed a three and a half day weekend...Mike, Artie and Jen are watching football right now. This is what I'm going to miss...the good friends and good times we spend together.
